We are a studio committed to teaching versatility in all styles of dance. We are a family based studio that provides a fun learning environment for all ages and levels. We provide dancers with the tools they need to express themselves through the art of dance. We would love to have your child experience Movement & Artistic Dance Expressions. Where every student is MADE to be a dancer!
MEET THE OWNER/DIRECTOR
Jenn Hennessy
Owner/Artistic Director Jennifer Hennessy has studied and trained in the art of dance since the age of 3. She trained tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop during her years of dance. She began competitive dance at the age of 12 and achieve many dance titles regionally and nationally.
Her passion for the arts continued as she pursued a profession at Simpson College in Theatre, soon after she opened her first studio in Des Moines in 1991.
After college she became certified through Dance Masters of Mid America in 2003, where she achieved a masters certificate in teaching the art of dance. She is currently the President of Dance Masters Chapter #34 in Iowa. She recently celebrated her 31st year of teaching the art of dance.
Outside of teaching dance, she enjoys teaching as a para educator for the Waukee school district and working for Talent On Parade as a judge and tabulator. She is one of the original master class teachers for Dance Directive as well as a current choreographer for the Iowa Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker. She loves sharing her passion with growing dancers! Many of her students she has taught have gone on to become professionals in performance as dancers across the nation. She is a well known choreographer for studio’s locally and surrounding states and has won many choreography awards and title awards regionally and nationally throughout her career. . Her well rounded dance educational background allows students to learn at an advanced level in all styles of dance. Teaching the art of dance is her passion and one of her greatest rewards.
